The Evolving Law Library: Public and Private ("Minnesota Law, Presented by Moss & Barnett")
Until the advent of the computer age, the reputation of a law school and the clout of a law firm was directly proportional to the size of their law library. All of that has been swept away by the digitalization and Internet publication of court decisions and legal information. All of this has many wondering whether lawyers will continue to serve in their historically important role as the gatekeepers of access to the definition of the law. Andy Malec, our law librarian, and Ed Carroll, Director of the Hennepin County Law Library, discuss this watershed for the legal profession.
