The 2011 new year rang in with a new regime of federal estate laws and Minnesota estate planners are scrambling to help clients deal with all of the changes. This controversial new law ended the estate tax holiday that prevailed in 2010, but did not restore the heavy levy that was set to kick in on January 1, 2011.
