Charles E. Jones Joins International Association of Defense Counsel
Moss & Barnett is pleased to announce that Charles E. Jones has accepted an invitation to join the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC), the preeminent invitation-only global legal organization for attorneys who represent corporate and insurance interests.
“I am honored to be invited to become a member of the prestigious International Association of Defense Counsel to work and learn alongside other corporate defense lawyers and insurance executives and to be able to take advantage of the IADC’s valuable, high-level education and professional development opportunities,” Charles said.
Charles serves as Co-chair of Moss & Barnett’s professional liability team and is a member of the firm's litigation team. He focuses his practice on defending lawyers and accountants against malpractice and other professional liability actions, and on assisting professionals with licensing and compliance issues. He also represents clients in commercial litigation. Charles has litigated cases in 35 jurisdictions across the United States involving claims against accountants and lawyers, enforcement of restrictive covenants, insurance law, harassment/discrimination, and other matters. He also advises CPAs and lawyers in risk management, compliance, and other issues. In addition, Charles serves as loss prevention counsel for Moss & Barnett.
Charles is a member of the American Bar Association, Minnesota State Bar Association, Hennepin County Bar Association, Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers, Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association, and Professional Liability Defense Federation. He is a former member or the Minnesota Supreme Court – Fourth Judicial District Ethics Committee. He has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America since 2021 and Minnesota Super Lawyers since 2014.
Charles earned his J.D. (cum laude) from the University of Minnesota Law School and his Bachelor of Arts (cum laude) from Carleton College.
